Molina Skyracer is a perennial grass that is easy to grow, has a cool name, and is deserving of a spot in your landscape. This tall wonder tops out at 7' to 8' and is a great vertical accent or privacy screen. It easily grows in average soil, that is medium to moist and well-drained. It will not tolerate dry conditions, as it's native to bogs and moors in europe and asia. It'll do best in full sun but will tolerate some shade, just make sure it gets over a half-day of sunlight. It's a little slow growing, dispite its fast sounding name, and may take a few years to reach its full height, but definately worth the wait.

The tall stiff flower spikes are very light and airy, and move with the slightest breeze. This adds a unique interest to your landscape or garden and serves as a nice backdrop or screening. It's great to use when you want to gain some privacy but don't want to put up a fence that will offend your neighbors. Take a look at the first picture with the cars in the background. It blocks them, but doean't completely hide them, and provides a soft look that can be accented even greater if you add some landscape up-lighting to it.
